When we talk about optimizing a blog post, there are two main factors that play a huge role, i.e., on-page SEO and off-page SEO. Out of both of them, On-page search engine optimization of a website or a blog post comes first, so, in today’s article, I will share with you some of the useful tips for optimizing a website on-page SEO. It consists of selecting the right targeted keyword, proper Meta tag (i.e., title, description, etc), image optimization, top quality content, and many other factors.

If you don’t know then, I tell you one important thing that search engines like Google, Bing, etc use their algorithm for giving ranking a website in the search engine results page. In the search engine algorithm, it uses various factors like title, keyword, description, quality content, image optimization, relevancy, trust, social media impact, and any other factor. Now, if you have an OnPageSEO optimized blog post, then there is more chance for it to appear at the top in the search engine results page for a particular keyword. A properly optimized title of a blog post is one that is written in 65 charters and consists of your main targeted keyword in the beginning. I have seen many cases when simply writing a good quality blog post and writing a properly optimized title of that blog post can rank on the first page of Google without any link building and social media promotion of that post.

2.Permalink of the blog post

Now, let’s read the second important on-page factor which is the most relevant permalink of the blog post. Try to avoid numeric numbers, comma, dashes, etc. in your blog post permalink. Try to choose a good looking search engine friendly permalink instead of selecting a random string as your post permalink.


Heading tag is another crucial part of on-page SEO optimization in your overall SEO campaign. Try to use H11 H2, H3 tag in your blog post. At the same time, you should need to avoid overuse of heading tags in your blog post as it makes your post look spammy both for the search engine as well as for readers.

Though Google doesn’t consider Meta keywords tag, another search engine like Bing, still give some value to keyword tag. 

6.Addition of relevant Images

I have already discussed image optimization for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes. Adding relevant images and doing proper image optimization will improve a webpage ranking. Now, when you do an image optimization task, make sure you don’t use too much and heavy images which increases the overall page loading time. A page that takes more time to loading is considered bad for users as well as the search engine.

7.Webpage word count

Webpage word count is another important factor when it comes to getting a top ranking in the search results webpage. A webpage having more than 1000+ words and written in a detailed manner has a higher chance to get on the 1st page of Google as compared to an article that has just 300-450 words. But, it is not always possible to write a blog post with 1500+ words, try to make sure that your blog post has a minimum of 700 words along with proper on-page optimization.

8.Interlinking within blog-post

Interlinking is another factor that is necessary when it comes to on-page optimization. But, you don’t need to make sure that you are not doing excessive interlinking. An appropriate proportion of links to the relevant old blog post is useful as compared to irrelevant and outdated posts. 

9.Link your blog post to other 3rd party websites

In addition to interlinking with your old blog post, linking with 3rd party and trusted resources is another factor that you need to remember. While interlinking your blog post with 3rd party relevant posts, make sure you are using the no-follow tag to avoid the passing of link-juice. Doing this link building technique is always useful in a relationship and for search engine rankings.

10.Write a compelling and in-depth article

At the time of writing a new blog post, try to make sure that you are writing a complete in-depth article that has the tendency to attract visitors to your website.
